In France there
are four types of weather. In the west, near the coast,
it prevails the tempered marine, of which Brest it’s
an example of smooth winters, fresh summers and many rains.
In the inland, the weather is of continental type, with
hot summers and more rigorous winters with few rains.
A mountain weather prevails in the high elevations with
cold and long winters. The precipitation increases with
the elevation and takes snow form in winter; many villages
in the high valleys have more than 50 days of snow every
year. In the south coast, the weather is Mediterranean,
characterized by hot and dry summers, smooth and humid
winters and a small number of rainy days during the year.
